ABOUT ME

I‘m Joe, going by Siryus on social medias, and I‘m an illustrator from Italy!I studied illustration at IED Milan but drawing has been my passion since I can remember. I've always loved taking inspiration from movies and TV shows as well as creating my own characters and stories.I try to keep my pieces lighthearted and warm, concentrating on representing different kinds of people and love, while also including my personal experiences.

IL BIVACCO ZOMBIE

Collection of illustrations and badges for the Twitch channel "Il Bivacco Zombie"

The concept of this channel is that of people coming together around a campfire to spend time together and bat the breeze.
They create contents regarding videogames, so I was asked to mix these two very different worlds: nature and technology.

After many sketches and trials I decided to recreate the shape of a game controller using items you'd find around a campfire, such as logs, sticks and rocks. I added a young man looking at the fire with his backpack on the side and a baseball bat. Coming from outside the frame there are zombies' hands, adding a bit of a creepy vibe to the environment. That is because of the main game they bring on their channel, Project Zomboid. For the logo I kept the element that encapsulate all of this, which is the fire, places on logs presenting the four arrows of a directional pad.
In the pics you can see a couple of experimental designs to implement the channel's name's initials in the fire shape.

More coming soon...
